Enjoying the increased freedom my Travelscoot has given me included the following event. See the attached images. My wife Jane is a member of 5K Your Way. A community based initiative encouraging those living with and beyond cancer, families, fiends and those working in cancer services. On the last Saturday of each month her group walk 5K following the Sandringham Park Run. The King paid a surprise visit to the groups first year celebration. We were all thrilled that he spoke to each of us and the tea, coffee and cake were great .

He showed a lively interest in my Travelscoot.

Here I am in Svalbard on my Travelscoot! It handled everything the terrain threw at it, and enabled me to truly explore. It is also great at the High Street in a more normal location! Being so light I can lift it in and out of my car boot myself, so it gives me freedom and independence.

Love my Travelscoot…everyday and holidays. Best way to travel. This has made my life far more interesting and entertaining..everyone wants a go!

I’ve used the scooter in Venice a few times : who said Venice wasn’t accessible ? No trouble getting into crowded cafes and restaurants, around museums, on vaporetto and water taxis because it’s so small, nobody objects.

Olivia

My daughter moved up to a secondary school sited in two merged campuses which cover over half a mile from end to end. It would have taken her nearly half an hour to walk between some lessons. The Travelscoot is the perfect solution for her. She easily keeps pace with her friends now, it’s compact enough to fit through school corridors and doors, and the motor is powerful enough to cope with steep hills and grass if necessary. We keep the scooter at school during the week, and the battery usually lasts all week on a single charge but is easy to detach and bring home for an overnight charge if needed.

We bring the scooter home at the weekend and folded it even fits into the limited boot space of a convertible Golf! The Travelscoot has made a huge difference to Olivia- it has made her feel more independent, and given her a huge confidence boost. She can now join us in dog walks or go out with her friends in our neighbourhood without worrying about slowing them down.

I have had my Travelscoot for about 15 years I think. I upgraded to the newer version with reverse on it.

I have been on a cruise, a coach holiday, and several times on airplanes and would never have managed without my Igel (German for hedgehog as it curls up small)

I then got the extension trailer seat which I used  around Cambridge with visitors who couldnt walk.

I have the standing trailer which I took to Germany with a friend.

Just brilliant to have the freedom.

My name is Henry William Brown and I am 7 years old from East Yorkshire. I have cerebral palsy and was looking for a paediatric mobility scooter which turned out hard to find. When I was just 4 years old we found Travelscoot UK and they were amazing letting us try a demonstration model to see if it would be suitable for me. I needed to grow just a little bit but I was lucky enough to get my very own travelscoot when I was 5yrs old. My travelscoot has allowed me to be independent during visits to the zoo and theme parks rather than being stuck in a wheelchair where Mummy & Daddy would decide how and where I went. We recently had scooter training at school and I didn’t have to miss out because I took my travelscoot. It is an amazing scooter which will grow with me. The service we received from Travelscoot UK was outstanding we often recommend to others.

My travel scoot as given me the freedom back to see the world including in the snow above the arctic circle in Norway.

I am a working physio in hydrotherapy and havespoken to a number of my patients about the versatility of the travelscoot. My personal story is of multiple joint replacements after a RTC in my twenties. (now 67 !)

When my partner became less mobile we stopped going out for walks, and we had to reassess all the holiday plans that we had made for the future. Then she found the Travelscoot and everything changed for the better. We can now go for proper walks again (I have to power-walk to keep up), and we've been able to do the bucket list trips that we never thought would be possible. The attached photo shows her on a recent excursion to the step pyramid at Saqqara in Egypt. We've just done a wonderful Nile cruise that wouldn't have been possible without the Travelscoot.

Thanks to travelscoot and its unique seat adaptions for little people. My 20 year absence from international travel has come to an end. Extremely manoeuvrable , light, easy to transport , compact. And of course, aeroplane friendly.

Our Travelscoot has enabled my husband to travel independently to many places  including regular trips to Australia and New Zealand to visit family. He rides it to the plane door where they take it to the hold and on the majority of times it arrives back at the plane door. It's light weight and easily stored. I don't know what we'd do without it!

“I’m proud to say I just surpassed 2,400 km on my TravelScoot!”

“Since purchasing my TravelScoot in July of 2015, it has been in eleven countries, flown on six different airlines, and travelled on three 3 different cruise ships. I’m proud to say I just surpassed 2,400 km on my TravelScoot!”

Miller

My husband has used his travel scoot all over the world, on planes and cruise ships. Always received well if you have the correct documents and plan in advance. The scooter always gets admirers and we get requests for information. Folding up, makes it acceptable to regular taxis, tenders on cruise ships and our small motorhome.

My Travelscoot has changed my life and I am so much busier now because I can get out and about. As well as using my Travelscoot to explore the globe, I now regularly venture around my local town to the market and shops, which I now find an enjoyable experience as I do not experience the pain and fatigue from walking. I also use my scooter on trains, buses and London Underground to get to work meetings. I regularly go to the theatre in London too and I have never had an issue in storing the scooter while watching a show. My only wish is that I’d got my Travelscoot years ago!

Kate

In just a short period of time the Travelscoot has changed my life for the better. I mostly use it at work as a School Chaplain to move around the large campus. Using the Travelscoot at school has meant that I have enough breath and energy to do other things I wouldn’t have been able to do before, such as housework.

It has also allowed me to go shopping, take my dog for a walk and socialise more without relying on someone pushing me in a wheelchair.

My disability developed quickly at a young age and affected my muscle strength, breathing and energy levels. This made me feel very down and having a modern looking scooter that I can easily lift in and out of my car has really helped my confidence.

The customer service was outstanding and I was offered kindness as well as practical support. I would definitely recommend this scooter and this company.

Judith

I’ve had my TravelScoot for 6 months now and it has been life-changing. I have ME/CFS so I have very little energy, but having the TravelScoot means I can save my energy for doing the things that I really enjoy, like meeting friends or going for a scoot around the park in the sunshine. I’ve taken it on trains and taxis, to hotels and restaurants. It’s so much nicer than being in a wheelchair - people look at you and smile. The TravelScoot even featured on our Christmas cake this year, made by my son who has seen how my life has been transformed.

“I spend hours doing things that I couldn’t do for some time.”

“What a difference the TravelScoot has made to my life, not only on a cruise ship but at the shopping malls etc. It is so light I can lift it in and out of the rear of my car no problem. I take off now to malls and spends hours doing things that I couldn’t do for some time. I recently took my husband to Costco. He was stuck with the shopping cart while I scooted all over the store. Guess who was the most tired?”

Wendela

“I haven’t had this much fresh air in years.”

“As promised, here I am (looking a little windblown) on my first polar expedition on the new Travelscoot! It was still freezing cold but dry, so I couldn’t wait any longer. Since then I’ve made a trip over to see my grandkids 2 miles away and back again on a beautiful sunny day. Haven’t had that much fresh air in years. And I went alone, whereas I would have had to depend on my husband to push my travel wheelchair for any outdoor travel before.”

Jennifer

“Saved my life in the gigantic land of Las Vegas.”

“What a great little scooter!!!! Saved my life in the gigantic land of Las Vegas. I wanted to let you know that I am very pleased and look forward to my life opening up with a little help from my TravelScoot :)”

“I was stopped at least 10 times and asked about it. The luggage guys and anyone at the airport were super impressed at how small and light it was.”

Keith

“Steep Hills? No Problem”

Noni

“As a Para Equestrian member of Team Canada, I have traveled to many places using my Travel Scoot. I put so many miles on the first, I’m on my second one! I’m more than satisfied with it. Thank you TravelScoot Canada.”

BowlsScoot

This person finds walking up and down the green hard work as he has problems with his legs , and this Scoot helps him quite a lot also we have another person who has a wheelchair and he can use the Scoot to play and enjoy a game with other Bowlers I think these are ideal and would help a lot of people.

Connie

“I can now scoot further than I could ever have dreamed of walking.”

“My name is Connie and I’m 81 years young. I have trouble walking any distance as my knees aren’t what they used to be. It is very painful and sometimes give out without any notice. I’ve always been hesitant about getting a mobility scooter as I thought it would make me look older than I am.”

”The best part of all is I can put it into the back of my car without the help of anyone. I used to love to go to Butchart Gardens, I had to stop about 7 years ago because I couldn’t walk all the way around and felt “too old” to have my husband push me in a wheel chair. Besides, he can no longer push me that far in a wheel chair. Now that I have my TravelScoot, I go all the time. If time permits, I even go around the gardens twice! My TravelScoot has given me back my quality of life. To me, my TravelScoot is priceless and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Peter

"The TravelScoot changed my life when I could no longer enjoy walking because
of severe arthritis of my knees. For the past 15 years it has been my
constant companion. It is versatile and light weight so I can easily pick it
up and put it in the back of my car. It folds easily and can stay with me
when travelling abroad and is useful for getting about the airport and
easily folding away for stowage. I would not swap my TravelScoot for
anything."
